The news from the US is that Herman Miller are about to launch a new task chair designed to be 99% recyclable and to be at price point 15% less than that of the Mirra. Who says green costs money!
Locally, Stem have launched their new Sitz chair which is an excellent chair based on a requirement for a foam and fabric chair at a price point that fits nicely into our product offering. The sitz offers a square back a synchronised or ergo mechanism and is on a 4 week lead time.
Herman Miller has re-launched an established system with improved design and engineering and re-badged it as Abak Environments. The system has addressed and removed many of the legs to leave clean lines and minimal architecture, very much the trends for design in the Australian market. Abak Environments works extremely effectively in 120degree planning or in linear planning and deals with storage and cabling in a unique and clean manner.
