Transform your dining space with the iconic Platner Dining Table from Knoll, a true masterpiece of modern design. Crafted by the legendary Warren Platner in 1966, this sculptural table captures the “decorative, gentle, and graceful” shapes that defined a new era in furniture design, blending art and functionality with exceptional craftsmanship.
The Stylish Platner Dining Table Design
The Platner Dining Table is a testament to Warren Platner’s visionary approach to design. Inspired by the decorative elegance of Louis XV furniture, Platner sought to create a table that would serve as a sculptural centerpiece while providing a functional dining surface. The table’s distinctive base is achieved by welding hundreds of curved vertical steel rods to circular frames, creating a harmonious fusion of structure and ornament.
